Margazhi in San Francisco (MISF) is a humble effort initiated by Swathi Lakshmanan the founder of Choros Charas - Destination for Arts and National Ethnic Arts, Inc, 501 (c)(3) Tax Exempt in the year 2020 amidst the Pandemic to open a stage to share arts remotely. MISF invites aspiring and expert artists from across the globe to showcase their art form to a global audience. Over the past 3 years the recognition for the festival has gained its fame and recognition from the community in the US and from across the world that encouraged us to bring the festival to the In-person viewership from the 2022 while also keeping it available virtually for a larger audience to enjoy the season remotely.

 

MISf is supported by its committee members who are professionals in various sectors that work day and night to bring the vibe for the season. Any initiative takes immense effort and resources to achieve its objective and so does MISF being a 30 days consecutive festival. Swathi Lakshmanan, the curator has been recognized by the Asia Book of Records and India Book of Records for conducting Margazhi in San Francisco Music and Dance Festival for 30 consecutive days involving hundreds of artists from across the globe. 
 

As we are growing each year, We are trying to open this platform to our local and community businesses and businesses worldwide as this festival caters to all artists from across the globe.
